Director, Chris Conroy, has been elected as a board member of the New Hampshire
Businesses for Social Responsibility (NHBSR), an organization dedicated to building
and supporting a network of businesses committed to adopting socially responsible
business practices.

As an advocate for corporate social responsibility in the community, Conroy launched
the "Heartwood Non-Profit Challenge" in 2005. The company chooses one New
Hampshire-based non-profit to work with each year. The company then produces a video
for that organization free of charge.

New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility is a statewide, not-for-profit
statewide membership organization that fosters socially and environmentally
responsible business in New Hampshire, recognizing that people, principles and
profits must be linked.
